I believe this class is set-up very well. Opportunity to learn from the resources and book you've chosen has proven beneficial. I am enjoying the critical thinking and the direction of the material that you have provided as resources. The agenda for this class has been challenging, yet stimulating. I actually feel as though I am learning, and will be able to take the content with me throughout my career. Please keep this style of teaching, I feel this is an effective and dynamic way to present the material.

This class has been eye opening because these steps have been broken down so simply.  Often, leadership seems to be a lofty aspiration left only to those with great personalities or charm.  However, this class has helped show that we all have the opportunity to be leaders…Nate Lacey

I found that this class was interesting and very challenging as well.  Making up our visionary and MyLife portfolio was fun and a bit challenging…it gave me a different way to really see what I want to do in life.  I would have to say this class is inspiring and I would not change anything.  I hope others have the opportunity to take this class as I had the opportunity to take the class…Maria Ramos

As this year begins to wind down I am blown away by the progress and development this class has strived for, and achieved. I see each of my classmates as motivated, and driven toward becoming better leaders. Now it is my turn to start taking the steps I need to in my life,  … My first risk I’ve directed myself to is moving to New Mexico and attending NMSU. Never in my wildest dreams would I have pictured myself here; now that I have arrived I understand the value of this particular risk. In this instance my risk has resulted in confidence, connections, and valuable relationships. Overall, I would call this risk a success…Chelsea Rose


Dr. R.... I will most likely be sending out my powerpoint briefing for peer review tomorrow, so that will get turned in pretty quickly as well. I have really enjoyed this class…and am looking forward to writing my paper!  Leslie Copass


Dr. Rodriquez, I have thoroughly enjoyed this class and have been empowered by the readings and assignments. I spend time on youtube viewing other lectures on various types of subjects from universities around the world. Perhaps this type of endeavor would be useful to classes at NMSU...I appreciate all that you have given our class. This class was definitely one of the best I have been involved in in a very long time. The assignments will prove valuable to my progress in education as well as in leadership. Good Morning Dr. Rodriguez, I want to let you know that I really enjoy doing projects for your class. I like the way that you care for students, that is something that I think every professor should do. I think a good instructor is someone that cares for his/her students, that really makes students feel that they are important to the instructor…I will definitely recommend your class to my friends =). Your assignments and quizzes were very enjoyable…because we had the opportunity to express our thoughts and beliefs and that is something that not every instructor does, that's why I think your class is just so wonderful. I really enjoyed doing the BIO assignment, and the portfolio seems to be a cool assignment to complete. These assignments really give us the opportunity to analyze and get to know ourselves better. I just wanted to THANK YOU for all your support during this mini-semester in your class, believe me this really means a LOT to us, the students…I wanted to ask you if you are going to be at your office sometime next week, so that I can stop by and have the opportunity to meet a wonderful instructor like you =). Good Evening Dr. R., First I just wanted to thank you for all the inspiration you have given me in this course. I wish this was a course that I would have taken earlier in college. This course provides a new way of thinking and a new direction to approach. I had no idea what to expect when i read the title to this course, and after these short 8 weeks, i learned an incredible amount about aspects towards becoming a leader in whatever endeavor! i will recommend this class to more students for a VWW credit.
