Justine Del Toro is a sophomore music major at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, studying voice under Professors Jennifer Piazza-Pick and Crystal Jarrell. Justine also participates in University Choir, Lake Effect, and the elite faculty-student vocal ensemble, Les Canards. Justine is a graduate of the North East School of the Arts (NESA) with a focus in musical theatre. Past theatre credits include: In the Heights (Abuela Claudia), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Snug), Les Misérables, 42nd Street, and The Tempest.

Magda Lysette Ortiz, mezzo-soprano, is a member of the San Antonio Mastersingers where she also serves as Social Chair. Recently, she performed in the South Texas Lyric Opera’s production of Puccini’s La Boheme and with Opera San Antonio in the chorus of Rusalka by Dvorak. She also performed with the University of North Texas Opera in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor, Brecht’s Die Dreigroschenoper, and as Mrs. DeRocher from Dead Man Walking in scenes by Jake Heggie. She currently studies voice under Madeline Elizondo while finishing her degree in vocal performance. She is a vocal instructor at Guitar Center Studios.

UIW is proud to welcome Dr. Forrest F. Aven, Jr., as dean of the H-E-B School of Business & Administration. Prior to joining UIW, Aven spent 23 years at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD).

Dr. Laney assumed his duties as Dean, College of Arts and Sciences at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio on July 2, 2012. Prior to his civilian career he served as an officer in the United States Army. While in the military, Laney was also called and ordained into the ministry.

Dr. Lopez is the new head of the School of Education & Kinesiology at A&M University - San Antonio. Prior to this he served as the Chair of the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at New Mexico State University.
Dr. Merchant is Dean of the College of Education and Human Development at The University of Texas at San Antonio, professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, and first recipient of the Henrietta Zezula Lowak Endowed Distinguished Professorship.
