March, 2003 Hosted the 7th Annual Collaborative Educational Programs for the Americas (CEPA) Conference entitled "Futuristic Leadership for a Global Community", March 15, 2003, The Hilton Long Beach. Keynote speakers include the Honorable Kerry Mazzoni, California's Secretary for Education; the Honorable Gloria Romero, State Senator; and the Honorable Albert C. Zapanta, Chairmen of the Reserve Forces Policy Board, Department of Defense. Other Special Guests also included Prominent Individuals from Academia, Business & Policy Institutes, Civic, Law Enforcement, and the Military.

April, 2002 Hosted the 6th Annual Collaborative Educational Programs for the Americas (CEPA) Conference entitled "Redesigning Leadership: An Ethical and Innovative Approach for Empowerment", April 5-6, 2002, The Westin Long Beach. Keynote speakers include the Honorable Bill Jones, California Secretary of State; the Honorable Maria Contreras-Sweet, California Secretary of Business, Transportation, and Housing Agency; California Constitutional Officers, Congressional Representatives, State Senators, & other California Political Leaders; Diane Creel, CEO, Earth Tech Worldwide; Major General Alfred A. Valenzuela, Commanding General United States Army South, and Honorable Daniel González Spencer, Director General, Secretaria de Educación Pública, Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales, México. Other Special Guests will also include California Congressional Representatives, State Senate & Assembly, County, & Prominent Individuals from Academia, Business & Policy Institutes, Civic, Law Enforcement, Military, & Spiritual Leaders.
Other major events include the Signing of the Memorandum-of-Understanding between The University of Scranton, Pennsylvania, establishing an historic ink between and established institutional of higher learning and an emerging leadership organization--CEPA.

Other Notable Accomplishments of hosting the 24th Annual Conference of the Society of Educators and Scholars: The event produced university and community outreach initiatives which included:
1. An opportunity for graduate students in educational administration/leadership to take an active role in the planning and implementation of a scholarly conference.
2. Attracting over 100 delegates representing all parts of the nation, the Caribbean, and Mexico. More than forty interdisciplinary scholars and leaders presented papers and participated on panels during the three-day event.
3. Presenting a truly interdisciplinary group of keynote speakers, including State Senators Richard Polanco and John Vasconcellos, Dr. Robert C. Maxson, President, CSU, Long Beach, Dr. Tomás Jiménez, Vice Chancellor, Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico, Karolina Gage and Andi Bell, Graduate Students at CSU, Dominguez Hills, Dr. Ileana Diver, Representing the Ministry of Education, Mexico; and Major General John L. Scott, Commanding General, United States Army 63rd Regional Support Command.
4. Receiving the endorsements of members of the political, educational and business communities.
5. Unifying colleagues from various universities and professional organizations: Professors from Foreign Languages, International Programs, Educational Administration/Leadership, delegates from CSU, CAPEA, ACSA, NCPEA, Department of Youth Authority, and Leadership Academies.
